[a] akafuku.
one of my favorite traditional japanese sweets. akafuku. it's from one of my favorite places. near ise shrine. the inside is mochi (special rice pounded until it's soft). and it's covered with anko (azuki beans boiled with sugar, mashed, and smoothed). it's really sweet. but since you drink green tea while eating it. it's all okay.
i've been meaning to do this for a couple of years now. a view of japan. through my eyes. things i love. things i find interesting. from [a] to [z]. since i only have a little over a month left here in japan. i thought i had better get on it. pronto.

The akafuku sounds delicious sweet!
Will stay tuned for yur alphabet!

I remember the first time you ate it and couldn't believe you liked it! It was all I could do to swallow it without gagging!!!
