[p] pan-ya
the bread shops over here. are quite good. and a bit overwhelming at first. all these perfect looking little pastries. for good prices. nicely lined up on the shelves. just waiting for me to put them on my tray. dang it. i will miss them. pan-ya. but that is a totally okay thing.
[p] piazza pizza
this is the non-japanese restaurant that i will miss the most. that we will miss the most. it's a small italian restaurant within walking distance of our place. the perfect size. the perfect ambiance. a one man show. and he lived in italy forever. and makes his own pasta. that is the best in the world. wow. we usually visit on a weekly basis. because it's that good. and we can't get enough.

What mixed emotions you must be feeling right now. I'm sure saying goodbye to your guy for the next months will be super hard. Have a great trip, if I don't get to check in before than.
Oh, and love those pastry shops so good but so deadly for the hips.

Travel is such a strange thing - especially when you find somewhere to live for a while and then 'home' becomes a tricky thing to define. Strangely from lots of years living in Holland and then London, now back in Melbourne, the things I most remember is the pavement from my house to the train/tram station. I can still visualise irregularities and where the puddles would be - I'm becoming less and less convinced I ever looked up!
