i have a small collection. of little milk jars. and i hope to add to it this weekend. i just heard of a local shop with more varieties. whoohoo. there's so much that i love about them. the fonts. the colours. the pictures. the milk is not one of the things i love though. strange. it's just too rich for me.
last night i got a new jar. the one on the right. i bought it on the way to the theatre to see 7 pounds. the friend i went with had brought a chocolate bar back from germany for me. so paired with the milk. it was the perfect movie treat to share. well, we quickly realized that it was not milk. (i wish i could read more kanji.) it was that crazy drinkable yogurt stuff. non-sweetened. the chocolate was good on its own though. and h-kun enjoyed the liquid yogurt when i got home. lucky duck.
this is the line that stuck with me after the movie. it was will smith's request to one of the characters. to live life abundantly. i've been thinking about it all day. abundantly is a huge word. huge. i am going to start living life more abundantly. starting now.
Way to go - why live in a mediocre way when there is sooooooooooo much more for us to experience?

Oh, I've been trying to hold on to our milk bottles but then when you can get the money back for them as you return them I only have them on borrowed time. :) I agree, we should live abundantly. Trying every day.

I love milk jars too but the ones we have here are kinda normal and boring. Your collection is really nice and cute! Funny thing was when i saw the movie 7 pounds end of last year in Germany..that same line "live life abundantly" stuck with me too..and at that point of time having my little year end vacation in Germany with my fiance, i could totally feel it. And im happy that it stuck with me ever since then and this is such a good reminder to me and to everyone here!
Oh and im happy to announce that i am ready with my little goodnees treats to your lovely sister. I will be posting picture of it up soon on flickr and on my bubble blog. Plan to mail it to her sometime next week!
Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you and yours!

Beautiful milk jars. They were popular when my dad was young, now all we can get is plastic or paper.

Leslie - Thanks very much for my elephant fabric and the strawberry envelopes you put in with my order too. I love them both. I'm glad I finally figured out the paying thing! Paula x x x

Great milk jars! My boyfriend likes to collect chocolate milk jars from where we live, in New England. But we don't usually drink the milk - it's too rich for us as well!

This is funny. Earlier today I came across the blog of another Leslie who lives in Japan - one whose profession is 'abundance coach'. Her job description was something like 'to help people recognise abundance in their lives and to make ripples in the world by sharing that abundance one person at a time'. I don't know if that translates to some kind of investments coaching ;) but it was such a lovely job description.

Hi, I've just stumbled across your blog today and just wanted to say how lovely it is. I love your photos of the milk bottles - they look so cute, unfortunately we don't tend to get bottles like this in the UK. I love your idea about living abundantly which is something I've been thinking about lately. I will be back to look through some of your older posts in the next day or two. Have a happy and abundant weekend!
